Maddie’s Hope is a non-profit organization established in honor of Madelyn Dulle. At a very young age Maddie was diagnosed in October 2003 with a rare form of childhood cancer called Pleural Pulmonary Blastoma. While prognosis for PPB is not good, after 12 months of chemotherapy, radiation, several surgeries and lots of prayers, Maddie continued to be cancer free until June 17, 2007 when another tumor was discovered. After undergoing 23 more rounds of radiation, 4 months of chemotherapy, and a stem cell transplant she still remains resilient and cancer free today.
The purpose of Maddie’s Hope is to raise money that will be used in various ways to help in the fight against cancer. Donations will be used for cancer research, in addition, to programs and services for the individuals and their families impacted. We also donate to various organizations that help in the fight against cancer. It is our hope to give something back to the hospital and everyone that has played such a vital part in Maddie’s fight against cancer.
